Our
project

The aim of the APIA project is to contribute to the inclusion of adults with autism in society and to promote their independence and well-being through food by supporting those who care for them.

Our objective

Developing tools to help professionals improve the autonomy and well-being of people with autism through appropriate nutrition, with the aim of promoting their social inclusion and extending these tools to family carers and other people with disabilities.

Our partners

We are a consortium of 5 European organisations: Universidad de Zaragoza, Coordinadora de Asociaciones de personas con discapacidad de Huesca, Pour La Solidarité ASBL, A18onlus – Associazione Autismo 18 anni, Les Insatiables

Our deliverables

APIA has resulted in the creation of two tools that can be used by professional carers and those working closely with autistic people to help them improve their autonomy and well-being through appropriate nutrition and inclusive teaching methods.
